Rowhomes: three narrow floors and a lot of stairs.
A Chestnut Avenue rowhome is 14 feet wide and three storeys tall. The dirt lives where the house is narrow — stair treads, the front vestibule, the radiator fins, the strip of floor by the back door.

Around 33rd Street and St. Paul, leases move on the same weekend every year. A turnover is a different job from a weekly clean and we treat it that way — empty rooms, inside the cabinets, inside the fridge, and the closets nobody looked at for a year.

On permit blocks in Canton and Federal Hill there is often nothing out front by mid-morning. Tell us when you book and we will park a street over and walk — it costs you nothing and it keeps us on time.
